Pinheiros Altos Golf Course

Designed by Ronald Fream (USA), the course is unusual in that it blends two nine hole in contrasting character. With pines dominating on the way in, it is rich in variety and creates a challenge for players of all standards. The greens themselves are sown with Pentcross bent, a fine leafed grass which is ideal for fast, firm and testing putting surfaces in temperate climates. For these reasons, it is used extensively throughout Europe. The fairways of Tifton 419 Bermuda grass provide resilient and excellent surfaces from which to play. Only available for people staying at Formosa Hotel. For a minimum stay of 7 nights between June 1st and Sep 30th 2003 one free round of golf at Pinheiros Altos.
